Did You Know We Draw Conclusions All Day Long?
Mrs. Buck's update for September 19th 2006
Our morning began with spelling activities and some work with interrogative sentences. We began Goldilocks and the Three Bears. That Goldilocks sure needs to work on her manners! We learned about drawing conclusions in stories and in real life. It’s something we don’t even really think about. We learned more about Lucas Cott and his family in Class Clown. If he really works hard at not talking so much in school, he will end up learning a lot! Our gym class with Mrs. Nolan was a blast! After lunch and SSR, we began a new topic in math: Money. We learned about the correct way to read and write money amounts. In social studies, we went over our flag packet and began making new flags for the United States in small groups. Using famous patriotic symbols, we came up with some very creative ideas. In religion, we continued our discussion about the Holy Spirit as the third part of the Blessed Trinity and reviewed for the quiz on Thursday.
