Today started with spelling activities and library. We were so excited to visit the library. This year we get to take out two books! Mrs. Devine read us a great book called Horace and Morris But Mostly Dolores. After library, we checked our homework and read more of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. We also learned about different parts of books: the table of contents and the index. They can be very helpful when looking for information. In grammar, we worked on imperative sentences and practiced our handwriting too. After morning recess, we had computers with Mrs. Nolan. After our place value quiz in math, we started learning about making change with money. We played a fun game where we actually had to purchase items with giant coins and get change back. We will explore this more tomorrow. Music had us singing and laughing. At the end of the day, we reviewed for our quiz in religion and talked about the liturgical calendar. Did you notice the color green in church lately? That’s because it is ordinary time. Our day came to a close with some Class Clown.
