Another Successful Centers Day!

Mrs. Buck's update for September 21st 2006

Today started with spelling activities and checking our homework. We had a centers day today and it went very well. We all knew where to go and what to do. Mrs. Buck is super duper excited! Goldilocks had us laughing when she jumped out the window in our story. We came up with some great alternate endings that were funny. In phonics, we reviewed the long a and i sound, as well as, the vowel-consonant-e pattern. Our letters to Goldilocks about her need for some new manners will look spectacular hanging on our bulletin board. You should hear our suggestions! After recess, we worked with making change again in math. It seems a bit tricky for us, but after working on it today again, we feel more comfortable with it. Our religion quiz went smoothly. We also talked about the liturgical year. Next week, we can’t wait to talk about Baptism and see everyone’s Baptism photos. Social studies had us working more with the American flag and the Pledge of Allegiance. Our group-created flags might just be the next flags chosen to represent our country.
