What is Your Favorite Mexican Food?

Mrs. Buck's update for September 29th 2006

After spelling activities this morning, we took our spelling and selection tests. It’s always so great to get our tests out of the way! Practicing our m’s and n’s in handwriting will help us to remember how they are different. We checked our grammar and reading homework. Using a manual can be helpful for many reasons. We discussed this and completed some work using a sample manual page. In math, we had a blast surveying each other to find out which Mexican foods were the most popular. Our pictograph showed that tacos won hands down! Salsa didn’t get any votes until Mrs. Buck voted. We can’t wait for everyone to check out our graph as they pass by in the hallway. Rounding was another topic we began to explore in math. After lunch, we had art. Our covers for our mexican cookbooks look muy bonita (very pretty.) Singing practice made for a nice break in the afternoon. In religion, we discussed the symbols of Baptism and the minister. We also read Sunday’s Gospel. At the end of the day, we read books about Mexico and Class Clown. Have a spectacular weekend!
