Our morning began with a new chapter in spelling and spelling activities. We were introduced to our new story, Herbie and Annabelle, and new vocabulary. Praying quietly during Forty Hours helped us find peace and solitude this morning. After we worked in our literacy groups, we practiced our handwriting. You should see our growth! It’s truly remarkable! In math, we finished up our math maintenance sheet and continued working with rounding numbers. Our group-created word problems will be fun to figure out. After SSR, we took notes about Baptism and read about angels. Using watercolors and markers, we created beautiful images of our guardian angels to celebrate the Memorial of the Guardian Angels special holy day. In social studies, we started our new unit on communities. After reading some information from our study packets, we worked with partners or small groups to come up with abc lists of community workers. You’d be surprised about all of our different ideas!
