Zuckerman’s Barn Is One Busy Place!

Mrs. Buck's update for October 19th 2006

Our morning began with spelling activities and homework review. We worked with compound words in phonics. They were easy as pie for us! After working in our literacy groups, we finished up our Venus Fly Traps story. Can you imagine having to travel all the way to Malaysia to find a Pitcher Plant? If you wanted to see one locally, you could visit Longwood Gardens. Sparkle was fun, as usual! In math, we took our Chapter 2 test on addition. Our illustrations of Zuckerman’s barn are absolutely phenomenal! They are filled with so many intricate details. After lunch, we read some Charlotte’s Web. We completed parts of our Sacrament Flowers in religion and learned more about Confirmation. Praying two decades of the rosary brought a sense of calm to our afternoon. In social studies, we shared our work from yesterday. If you ever have a question about producers and consumers, just ask us.
