After beginning our new chapter in spelling this morning, we reviewed the new center activities.  We were very excited to try out these fun new assignments today.  The new class book we are beginning ties nicely into our weekly theme.  We are going to create a book of scary stories.  Do you think you’ll be able to read it without being frightened?  You’ll have to wait to find out!  After working in our literacy groups, we began our new story:  Tornado Alert.  It is an informational story about tornadoes.  In math, we continued working with subtraction and estimation.  After lunch, we read our SSR books and worked with possessive nouns in our grammar books.  During religion class, we talked about All Saint’s Day.  We are nearly finished praying the rosary.  Today we reflected on the Luminous Mysteries.  In social studies, we went over our community quizzes.  Charlotte’s Web was a great way to end the day!  Happy Halloween Eve!
