The Hospital Made for a Super Field Trip!

Mrs. Buck's update for November 28th 2006

Our morning began with spelling activities and a review of our homework.  We also were excited to talk to Miss Carroll about our pizza party, movie, and dress down day from the Dance-A-Thon.  The field trip to the hospital was so much fun!  We learned a lot of interesting things about the human body.  We got to meet some intriguing characters:  Pandora, Mr. Bones, and Puzzling Pat.  Did you know that the average 8 year olds small intestine is about 16 feet long?  Wow!  After our return, we had our lunch.  SSR followed by Part 2 of our Unit Assessment.  We worked with phonics and verbs to round out the afternoon.  A book about homonyms and homophones called How Much Can a Bare Bear Bear? helped us understand these quirky words and had us giggling too.
