Counting Down the Days!

Mrs. Buck's update for December 21st 2006

After a morning of working with irregular verbs, we wrote poems about cures for a boring school day.  You should read them!  Can you imagine if we actually went on three field trips in a day?  In grammar, we reviewed irregular verbs and worked with the verbs “come” and “eat.”  Our Synonym City is going to be filled with great, spicy words for us.  We’ll be able to use it like the Word Wall.  Going around the room and writing synonyms was a lot of fun!  After recess, we took our math test.  The Fiddle-I-Fours Song is a country-western tune that had us laughing and singing.  After lunch, we finished up our Advent Booklets.  We also finished our Advent Candle prayers.  Do you know how to say “Merry Christmas” in other languages?  We do!  We also know where to find some of these different countries on the globe.  Our Nativity craft will be a nice decoration for home.  At the end of the day, we read about Jesus’ birth in our religion workbooks and also listened to a Christmas story about a chipmunk family making the best Christmas tree ever.
