Spelling Activities and a Word Ladder Sheet began our Tuesday morning today. Our Word of the Day was: “our.” After reviewing some of our homework, we began reading Ananse’s Feast: An Ashanti Tale in our reading textbook. Our predictions about the theme of this story were brilliant. Our topic for grammar is adjectives. After taking notes and working on some exercises in our grammar textbook, we participated in a fun winter adjective activity. We each had a mitten with our name on it and had to write adjectives about one another. Our kind words made for a warm lesson on such a snowy day! After recess, we had gym with Mrs. Buck and Mr. Baxter. A fun game of whiffle ball had us laughing and smiling. After lunch, we had music with Mrs. Grayum. Math included division of all numbers learned so far. We began taking detailed notes about the Ten Commandments. Our Keys to the Kingdom project is under way. Reading some folktales at the end of the day was a nice way to finish up a busy Tuesday!
