Who Is Important in Your Life?
Mrs. Buck's update for February 16th 2007
Our Friday morning began with some Valentine’s Day word problems and Spelling Activities. Our Word Wall Wizard Word of the Day was: “something.” After reviewing our homework, we worked in our literacy groups. Our spelling test and selection test on One Grain of Rice followed. Working with capitalization helped us remember when to use capital letters in our writing. We are very excited about starting a new cycle of center activities next week. Be sure to ask us about them! Who knew learning could be so much fun? After recess, we met with Mrs. A, our school guidance counselor, to talk about friendship and respect. We discussed feelings. It was neat to find out different things about others in our class. After lunch, we copied our homework and had SSR. In math, we continued working with multiplication. The new topic introduced today was multiplying three numbers. During religion class, we listened to Sunday’s Gospel and went over our test on the Ten Commandments. Heart mobiles with self-portraits and illustrations of important people in our lives was our art project at the end of the day. They’ll look lovely hanging from the ceiling in our room. Have an excellent long weekend! Happy President’s Day!
