Did You Know That Sometimes You Are a Pronoun?
Mrs. Buck's update for March 27th 2007
After working with our map and spelling skills, we checked our homework. Our Word of the Day was: “unhappiness.” It has a prefix and a suffix! In grammar, we learned about pronouns. Sometimes, we are even pronouns! When we write about ourselves using “I” or “me,” we are pronouns! These are fairly easy to find. We had no trouble at all locating them in sentences. In More Than Anything Else, we met Booker. We discussed the author’s purpose. Our adjectives to describe Booker were phenomenal. Have you ever followed your dream or reached for a goal? Our Despereaux mice look adorable on the wall. We enjoyed writing about what we thought and felt while reading this book. Handwriting practice had us practicing some tricky letters. After recess, we had gym with Mrs. Nolan outside. It was so nice to get some extra fresh air. After lunch, we explored more two digit multiplication. In religion, we continued working on our Stations of the Cross Booklets. We can’t wait to find out what our next class read-aloud book will be!
