Recycled Materials Became Our Sculptures!
Mrs. Buck's update for April 20th 2007
Our sunny and bright morning began with writing and illustrating metaphors. After working on spelling activities, we took Part III of our Unit 5 Reading Assessment. We are very excited about our new literacy center activities that start next week! Old Turtle is a beautiful book about God and the earth. It’s one of Mrs. Buck’s favorites! After recess, we explored a new topic in math: angles. Do you know the difference between an obtuse angle and an acute angle? Our spelling test came next. After lunch, we made fossils in science class with Miss Marron. In social studies, we finished our Earth Day posters. We can’t wait to see them hanging around the school to remind others about taking care of the earth. Art was so much fun! Who knew you could make such great stuff out of recycled materials? Our sculptures are very creative. Have a super-dee-duper weekend!
