What Would You Do With a Purple Crayon?

Mrs. Buck's update for April 25th 2007

Today our day began with a Word Sort and Spelling Activities.  At library, we enjoyed listening to Harold and The Purple Crayon.  It definitely tied into our weekly theme of art.  Mrs. Buck shared some of her artwork with us.  We looked at paintings, drawings, and prints.  In reading, we explored steps in a process and finished up The Pinata Maker.  Handwriting practice had us practicing “I’s” and “J’s.”  After recess, we had computer class with Mrs. Nolan where we worked with the Mysteries of the Rosary.  This is great prep work for next week since we will be praying the Rosary for the month of May.  After lunch, we copied homework and read our SSR books.  In math, we learned about different types of triangles.  Do you know them all?  In religion, we talked about different forms of prayer.  Prayer can be so soothing and relaxing.  In social studies, we reviewed for our test tomorrow on Natural Resources.
