Our morning began with a Word Ladder sheet and spelling activities.  Our Word of the Day today was:  “what.”  After checking some homework, we worked in our literacy groups at centers, class book, and guided reading.  In grammar, we combined sentences using commas and the conjunction “and.”  Little Bear and Boone, the cowboy, almost hurt one another in The Indian in the Cupboard.  It’s turning out to be one exciting book!  After recess, we dove into the topic of congruent and similar shapes in math class.  Our images from yesterday’s shape hunt are fun to look at.  We practiced our multiplication songs and finished up reading about Frida Kahlo.  After lunch, we talked about God’s mercy.  We worked in our religion workbook, which discussed how God is love.  In social studies, we took our test on Natural Resources.  In science, we were fascinated as we learned about the planets.
