Our day began with expanding our vocabulary using our Word Ladder sheet.  We also worked on spelling activities.  Our Word Wall Wizard Word of the Day was:  “when.”  After working in our literacy groups, we took our spelling and selection tests.  In phonics, we reviewed the schwa sound and the “wh” digraph.  Little Bear and Boone ate breakfast together in The Indian in the Cupboard.  After recess, we wrote critically about different famous paintings.  We were so excited to each have our own mini painting to critique.  At lunch, Mrs. Buck shared pizza, snacks, and juice with the students who read all of their minutes for every month.  After lunch, we copied our homework and read for SSR.  In religion, we talked about Sunday’s Gospel reading and how God is our Shepherd.  In art, we created colorful images of the still life that Mrs. Buck set up for us.  Math had us using ordered pairs.  Have a terrific weekend!
