For Ants, The World Must Seem Gigantic!
Mrs. Buck's update for May 29th 2007
Our day began with a new chapter in spelling and speling activities. We also learned some interesting things about insects and their homes. The article in the National Geographic magazine about ants had us asking many questions. Did you know a type of ant in Australia actually swims? In reading, we began our story: Two Bad Ants. It’s the last one of the year! In grammar, we explored the topic of direct objects. We finished up the Glorious Mysteries of the rosary and now have moved on to the Luminous Mysteries. The first Luminous Mystery is The Baptism of Jesus. After recess, we had gym class with Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Sheehan. We are so grateful for all of their help this year. The popicle treat was great for a hot day. After lunch, we copied our homework and read SSR. In math class, we worked with the topic of time, specifically quarter hour and minutes. During social studies, we took our quiz on Famous People and completed a challenging map clue worksheet. At the end of the day, we practiced for Friday’s Celebration.
