Our Wonderful Word of the day today was:  descend.  We made several spicy sentences for it.  After working on spelling activities, we headed down to the Science Lab for our science class.  We discovered the important role our brain plays in our lives.  We were reminded of how we use our brain to see, hear, read, and remember.  Pepita realizes that she needs to speak both Spanish and English in Pepita Talks Twice.  We practiced our cursive s’s and j’s in handwriting.  After recess, we read some of Class Clown.  Lucas came up with a fantastic solution to help his brothers get their hair cut.  Math had us identifying number patterns, using hundred charts, and figuring out pattern rules.  After our quiz in religion, we read the book 3 in 1.  It is a story that explains the Blessed Trinity by comparing the concept to an apple.  As part of our reflection on this, we created bookmarks showing what we learned.  SSR followed lunch.  Mrs. Buck can’t wait to read our responses in our SSR/ILA copybooks.  In social studies, we read in our textbooks about Mexico city.  Our travel brochures are very persuasive!  You’ll want to visit Mexico soon!  Our day ended with computer class with Mr. D.
