Muscles and Bones Work Together!

Mrs. Buck's update for September 26th 2007

Our day began with spelling activities and our science lab.  We explored a model of the shoulder, which showed us how our muscles move our bones.  It was fun to discover how many bones we have in our upper and lower arms and legs.  After science, we met with our literacy groups.  Lucas stole the show in Class Clown.  After recess, we learned about two more types of sentences:  imperative and exclamatory.  Our fire drill practice went very smoothly.  We were so quiet that we earned some magic marbles.  Our math maintenance and math test came next.  In religion, we talked more about how the Holy Spirit fills our hearts when we do the right thing and act kindly towards others.  The book Mr. Peabody’s Apples provided some wonderful examples of the Holy Spirit at work!  We enjoyed this book!  After lunch, we copied our homework and had SSR.  In social studies, we explored the concepts of citizenship and volunteering.  Nate the Great solved the case in our reading textbook.  Our day ended with a fun computer class.
