Lucas Cott in Class Clown Earned a Reward!
Mrs. Buck's update for September 27th 2007
Our Wonderful Word of the day today was: emerge. Our sentences blew Mrs. Buck out of the water! They were excellent! After spelling activities and literacy groups, we headed to library. Recess came next, followed by a game of Sparkle. In handwriting, we practiced our g’s and o’s. After math maintenance, we used a hundred chart to color in numbers according to what they round to. It was a great visual way to see how rounding works. We also worked with rounding in our workbooks. After lunch, we copied our homework and read our SSR books. A quick grammar review of sentences helped us prepare for tomorrow’s test. Don’t forget “interrogative,” “declarative,” “imperative,” and “exclamatory.” In religion, we finished writing our “How I’ve Helped Someone” writing pieces which correlate with our theme of courtesy and our topic of the Holy Spirit. Social studies class had us finalizing more ideas for our 3BHC (3B Helping Communities) service project idea. We are very excited to get it started! In science, we had our Post-Lab. We identifed what parts of the model represented the different parts of the body. We also reviewed the different functions of the body systems. Lucas Cott finished third grade in Class Clown. He even earned a reward for improved conduct!
