Our day began with morning work.  We completed a map sheet about the voyage of the Mayflower and practiced handwriting.  Our grammar test came next.  The Thanksgiving feast we had with our kindergarten buddies was wonderful!  We gave them our letters, shared some food, and enjoyed ourselves immensely.  After recess, we finished up Part III of our Unit Theme test in reading.  In religion, we listened to a Native American prayer of thanks book.  This helped us compose our very own Thanksgiving Day prayers.  We can’t wait to read these to our families and friends!  In social studies, we read about the earliest Thanksgiving.  Comparing the first Thanksgiving menu and ours was a lot of fun!  After lunch, we received tests back, copied our homework, and read our SSR books.  A challenge word spelling bee had us really thinking!  Our day ended with computer class with Mr. D.  Have a truly beautiful Thanksgiving!  Enjoy a restful break!
