Do You Know When the Declaration of Independence Was Signed?
Mrs. Buck's update for November 29th 2007
Our Wonderful Word of the Day today was: mischief. Have you ever gotten into mischief? We even found this word in our Berenstain Bears read-aloud story! After working on spelling activities, we checked our homework and met in our literacy groups. A quick game of Sparkle had us really thinking about possesives! After library, we read Miracle on 34th Street. In reading, we listened to The Stories Julian Tells on cd. In math, we worked on our Math Maintenance, explored multiplying by 10’s, took a timed test, and sang our first multiplication song. In religion, we designed Advent banners and began working on our Advent booklets. Lunch came next. We had a Mystery Reader today! Our timelines of early American history are great! In science, we completed a graphic organizer about the different properties of matter that we’ve talked about so far this year: density, volume, buoyancy, and weight. At the end of the day, we enjoyed listening to Berenstain Bears Tell the Truth and Berenstain Bears and No Girls Allowed.
