Our day began with our Word of the Day:  original.  Have you thought of any original ideas lately?  After heading to the library, we worked on spelling activities and our Christmas stories.  After recess, we read from our Advent book and added two ornaments to our Jesse Tree:  The Star of Bethlehem and The Shepherds.  In reading, we finished our Ramona Forever story.  We thought it was funny that the doctor said Ramona had siblingitis.  Our new topic in religion is the Sacraments at the Service of Communion.  We had so many interesting questions about Holy Orders.  Our religion workbooks discussed vocations and how we are all called to do special things for the Lord.  After recess and lunch, we copied our homework and read our SSR books.  We received several tests back also.  Our science assembly was a blast!  In the afternoon, we practiced writing thank-you notes.  Our group projects in social studies about Washington, D.C. are nearly finished.
