Fill-In-The-Blank Word Problems In Math Were Fun!

Mrs. Buck's update for February 28th 2008

Our Wonderful Word of the Day today was: territory. Can you name a famous territory? After reviewing our homework and working on spelling activities, we met in our literacy groups. After a game of Sparkle, we headed up to the library. Mrs. Buck was able to find many books about states for us to use as resources for our states projects. After recess, we listened to Leah’s Pony on cd. Then, we took a timed test on the multiplication facts for 4’s and worked with word problems. The Fill-In-The-Blank word problems we completed were a lot like Mad Libs. They were hysterical! In religion, we reflected on the Sixth Station: Veronica Wipes the face of Jesus. We also prayed that Jesus will help us do thoughtful things for others. Chiaroscuro was not very nice to a prisoner in The Tale of Despereaux. He takes the red cloth, but still wants to see the light. After lunch, we copied our homework and read our SSR books. We also received back several tests to get signed. In science, we worked on our Post-Lab. In grammar, we began exploring action verbs. We brainstormed lists of action verbs that keep our bodies healthy. Can you name some?
