Our Cultural Heritage Celebration Was Yummy!
Mrs. Buck's update for March 28th 2008
We started our day with vocabulary work and spelling activities. After listening to the second half of Cocoa Ice on cd, we took our reading test, spelling test, and grammar test. Morning recess gave us a chance to burn some energy. Then, we had our Heritage Celebration. We tried all kinds of new foods and were very interested in sharing some items from different cultures. The timelines of our lives turned out great! We are eager to share the information with one another. After lunch, we had a Mystery Reader. We read some of our SSR books. In religion, we talked about the Second and Third Commandments. We added these to our tablets. Despereaux and Cook shared some soup in The Tale of Despereaux. Music class with Mrs. Smart was a splendid way to end our Friday afternoon. Have a simply wonderful weekend!
