Happy Thursday!  Today began with vocabulary review and spelling activities.  After reviewing our homework, we played a game of Sparkle.  Next, we headed up to the library.  After recess, we worked in our literacy groups and finished I’m In Charge of Celebrations.  It contained many examples of figurative language.  Mrs. Buck brought in several examples of her artwork.  It was fun to see her projects and hear about the ideas behind them.  In grammar, we learned more about irregular verbs.  We worked with partners on several examples where we had to pick the correct form of the verbs.  After lunch, we read our SSR books.  To celebrate our theme of Art and Artists, we wrote about individual famous paintings.  It is fun sharing opinions.  In social studies, we worked on a landforms activity packet.  There sure are many different types of landforms!
