Our day began with vocabulary review and a new chapter in spelling. Our spelling chapter this week is almost all contractions! After working with our new words, we began our biography book reports. Who knew that a book report could be a t-shirt? We completed the backs of the shirts and will finish the fronts later this week. It was a blast! After recess, we worked with contractions and explored triangles in math. Did you know that there are several different types of triangles? The names can be tricky to pronounce, but we had fun thinking of real-world examples of triangles. Jamie is warming up to the idea of going on an adventure with Claudia in From The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. After lunch, we copied our homework and read our SSR books. To explore our new vocabulary, we worked on “Write, Draw, Show.” Our ideas are always impressing Mrs. Buck! At the end of the day, we had a great art class with Mrs. McQueen.
