Today was a great day!  Our Question of the Day Today was:  Do you like spooky stories?  After our morning meeting, we had a special treat.  The Pre-School classes paraded through our classroom so we could see their Halloween costumes.  They looked fabulous!  We worked at Math Centers in groups during math class. One group counted beans, another group played “Finger Fun,” and the third group practiced writing numbers.  After reading about horses, we worked with a new letter:  lowercase “h.”  We enjoyed making the “h” sound.  A review of the lowercase “l” followed and then we put together our pumpkin books.  After reading our Halloween Jokes together, we had recess and lunch.  In the afternoon, we had P.E. indoors.  Our journal topic today was:  I was suprised when…  Our open-ended language activities rounded out our busy day.
