We had a splendid day today!  Our Question of the Day today was:  What do you like better, salty or sweet foods?  Can you guess which one received the most votes?  After our morning meeting, we worked in Writers’ Workshop.  We worked on a new class book about bodies.  After recess and snack, we read a book about taste.  In language arts, we learned about the lowercase “x.”  It is the last letter we have to learn.  Next, we will focus on writing words and numbers.  We worked with sentence strips and tried writing words on our own by listening to the sounds.  This is an important step in helping us grow as writers and readers.  Reading our A to Z book and our weekly poem came next.  After lunch, we had a Mystery Reader and Quiet Time.  In art, we looked at fruits set up as a still life and painted what we saw with watercolor paints.  They look lovely in our hallway!  At the end of the day, we had Activities and read a Time for Kids.  Have a wonderful weekend!
