We had a wonderful day today!  Our Question of the Day today was:  Have you ever built a snow fort?  (Three of us have not; Nine of us have.)  After our morning meeting, we worked at our Math Centers.  Recess and snack followed.  After reading about a snowperson family, we reviewed the “ip” word family.  Then, we practiced our numbers in our handwriting books and learned new Star Words.  Our new words are:  make, I, are, with, and of.  After working with these in our phonics books, we worked on a “cut and paste” activity using the “ad” family words.  Next, we read our weekly poem.  Recess and lunch followed.  Then, after our read-aloud about a snowman named Bob, we had Quiet Time.  Sketches of different machines made for a fun Art class.  Our journal topic today was:  My favorite game is…  At the end of the day, we had Activity Time and read our Time for Kids in our closing circle.  Have a spectacular weekend!
