We had a super day today!  Our Question of the Day today was:  Have you ever met a librarian?  (Ten of us have; Six of us have not.)  After our morning meeting and changing jobs, we worked with a bar graph in math.  We each colored a square Post-It our favorite color and then added it to our chart.  Blue is the most popular color by far!  Twelve students had blue as their favorite color! There was a four way tie between red, orange, purple, and pink.  Each of those had one vote.  Recess and snack followed.  We then read a book about librarians and met our new word family:  the “ug” family.  After working with the short “u” sound in our phonics books, we practiced our new weekly poem:  Some One.  After recess and lunch, we had our read-aloud and then Quiet Time.  Spanish with Miss Maureen was a blast!  Our journal topic today was:  If I could send anyone a letter, I would choose…  At the end of the day, we worked with our “at” word family to assemble a cute little cat with wordy whiskers.
