We had a super-dee-duper day today!  Our Question of the Day today was:  Would you want to meet the President?  (Eleven of us would; Five of us would not.)  At our morning meeting, we talked about keeping our class library organized and how to treat books.  In math, we worked in small groups at Math Centers.  Recess and snack came next.  We read a book about a farm and then did a retelling of Miss Nelson is Missing.  We liked this book so much last week, that we read it again today.  It is truly one of our favorites!  After reviewing word families, we worked in our phonics books with the short “u” sound.  Practicing our weekly poem followed.  After recess and lunch, we had Quiet Time and P.E.  In P.E., we played “Baby in the Air” again.  We really like this game!  Our journal topic today was:  If I were President, I would…  We finished the day with Activity Time.
