Animals Use Camouflage!
Mrs. Buck's update for March 4th 2010
We had a marvelous day today! Our Question of the Day today was: Do you like hot weather? (All 16 of us do!) After our morning meeting, we worked at our Math Centers. Recess and snack came next. In language arts, we read Never, Ever Shout in a Zoo. After working with the “op”word family, we created our “op” family books and read these together. In our phonics books, we practiced working with the short “o” sound. After practicing our weekly poem, we worked on our Africa plays. Recess and lunch followed. Next, we had a read-aloud and Quiet Time. In Science, we talked about why some animals have certain colors and patterns. Camouflage helps animals stay safe. We each colored a frog and hid it on our bulletin board. Our journal topic today was: When I’m hot, I like to… We finished the day with Activity Time.
