We had a super day today!  Our Question of the Day today was:  Do you like to climb trees like a monkey?  (Fifteen of us said yes; One of us said no.)  After our morning meeting, we worked at Math Centers.  One group played the “Go Forward and Back Up” game using dice and counting.  Another group played “Top It,” which is a card game similar to the card game “War.”  The third group traced pattern block cut outs and drew a pattern using shapes.  After recess and snack, we read another George and Martha book.  We practiced our Africa plays in the church for the first time.  In language arts, we reviewed the “ot” word family and worked in our phonics books on initial sounds in words.  After reading our weekly poem, we went outside for recess.  Lunch followed.  Then, we had our afternoon read-aloud and Quiet Time.  Next, came music class with Miss Elena.  Our journal topic today was:  I like my name because…  We finished our day with open-ended Activity Time.
