We had a stupendous day today!  Our Question of the Day today was:  Would you like to be as a tall as a giraffe?  (Eleven of us would not; Five of us would.)  After our morning meeting, we had our Math Centers.  Recess outside and snack followed.  In language arts, we read about wildebeests and worked on our Africa Show.  We each practiced our animal facts and also sang our new Continents Song.  In our folders today, you will find copies of our lines from the Africa plays, along with our animal fact sentence.  We put together our “ot” family books and read these together.  After snack and lunch, we read about giraffes.  Then, we had Quiet Time.  In Science, we talked about animal habitats.  We added animals to two different African habitat pictures.  Our journal topic today was:  If I had a long neck like a giraffe, I would…  In the afternoon, we had Activity Time.  Please remember that tomorrow is a half day and there is no transportation!
