Happy Yellow Day!
Mrs. Buck's update for June 2nd 2010
We had a super-dee-duper day today! Our Question of the Day today was: Have you ever driven through a car wash? (All 16 of us have!) After our morning meeting, we worked on writing our numbers in a scrolling number chart all the way to 110! Wow! Then, we had recess and snack. We all looked so bright in our yellow clothes for Y Day in our Summer Countdown. In language arts, we read a book about an Emperor Penguin and his new clothes. Then, we filled out our Memory books and colored them. We can’t wait to share these with our families tomorrow and save them for when we are grown up. Next, we practiced our weekly poem. Afternoon recess and lunch followed. After Quiet Time, we had Art. We made self-portraits using glue. We will color them in with pastels tomorrow morning and hang them up in the CLC for our celebration tomorrow. Our journal topic today was St. Matthew’s. In the afternoon, we got some extra fresh air, performed our classroom jobs for the last time, and read Junie B. Jones.
