Classroom Procedures: The classroom responsibilities and rules have been created collaboratively with the students. They coincide directly with the St. Elizabeth Code of Conduct.
Classroom Rules and Responsibilities:
1) Respect others and their things.
2) Talk when it is your turn.
3) Raise your hand.
4) Keep your hands to yourself.
5) Stay calm and make safe choices.
If a student chooses not to follow the Code of Conduct and/or Classroom Rules and Responsibilities, then:
1st offense: Verbal warning
2nd offense: Write initials on front board
3rd offense: Mark in calendar
The students are aware of these consequences and understand when/why they are given. If a student receives a mark, the calendar must be signed. If a student receives 5 marks in one month, they need to serve a detention. If a student has an entire month with no marks, they receive a homework pass. Calendars must be signed every Thursday. Please be aware that arriving late to school does constitute a mark on the calendar.
Rewards will be given for responsible, respectful behaviors. Commendations are given for students doing an excellent job. Christian Witness Awards are given monthly to students exemplifying the qualities of Jesus. Two additional 3B rewards are “Mrs. Buck’s Bucks” and “Magic Marbles.”
